Bishopscourt Gardens Rochester 30/05/2026

These photographs were taken during a visit to the Bishopscourt Gardens in Rochester as part of the National Open Garden Scheme.

Bishopscourt has been home to the Bishops of Rochester since 1920. The 1½ acre walled garden has been continuously developed for over a decade and provides a secluded oasis. The garden comprises of lawns, meadow, mature trees, hedging, rose garden, gravel garden, mixed herbaceous borders, glasshouse, vegetable garden and a raised ‘lookout’ offering views of the castle and the river..
